CMA Awards 50!

This was my first time attending an awards show (Hopefully next year I'll be on it) and I had a blast. This show was special because it was 50 years of celebrating country music. I'll start from the begining.

Tuesday night, I took the redeye flight out to Nashville. I tried to sleep but, I think I was just too excited. I landed in in Nashville and explored the town a bit and then it was time to get ready! I had picked out the perfect gown, perfect shoes, jewelry, etc. Then off I went to the Bridgestone Arena for the show.

The show opened with one of my favorite performances of the night. A tribute to performers from the past. There was even a little Buck Owens in there :) Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley always do such a fantastic job hosting. I really enjoyed them. My second favorite performance was the tribute to Dolly Parton as she won the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. Several women of country music got together and performed a medley of Dolly's greatest hits. There was so many other fantastic performances but this blog would just go on for pages!

I then headed over to the after party with plenty of food where Collin Raye hosted and performed. Then I don't know how it happened but I met a former player for the Rams and his wife and just like that I was inside of WME's after party! I got to talk to Dustin Lynch (nicest dude ever) I saw Jason Aldean, The Swon Brothers and Chase Bryant. It was a really exciting evening.

Looking forward to next year...but being on stage :)
