Cocktails For A Cure

A local hair salon hosted a benefit titled “Cocktails For A Cure”. This benefit was held to raise money for Cancer awareness. There was a variety of drinks, desserts, and finger foods. My friend owns a bakery called Rockstar Desserts, in which she donated some of the delicious pastries. A silent auction and raffle also helped to raise monies toward the cause as well. Volunteers were on hand to sign people up to participate in the upcoming 5K walk/run. A retro-style singer and stand-up bass player provided the evening's entertainment. The highlight of the evening was singer, Lita Ford. She was a guest speaker and gave a beautiful speech about the cause and how she had lost her parents to this disease and it was truly heartfelt. It was a wonderful night and a wonderful charity event.
